During the last two years the team of the LvBS has been communicating to its partners and clients the message that the crisis, being undoubtedly a time of challenge, is also an opportunity for development and growth. We believe that many of you succeeded at using this opportunity to your benefit regardless the fact that Ukrainian business environment remains very unfavorable. At the same time we know that all of us, - leaders and managers, - need emotional and intellectual stimulation and inspiration for future developments. The LvBS is suggesting to you the program of events during the next few months focused on the 'UPSIDE Strategy', a method for your company to achieve a growth breakthrough. We have dedicated a special section of our website entitled UPSIDE to the purpose of facilitating of the process of discussion and elaboration of this strategy. By following this section you will be made a part in various events (master classes, discussions, programs) lead by best international experts in the field. On July 27 the LvBS together with the Companion Group is organizing an open seminar lead by Pavlo Sheremeta, the former Dean of the Kyiv Mohyla Business School and the present President and Chief Consultant of the Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, Malaysia. The title of this event is "Ukrainian Tiger: ready for a break-through? Asian Lesson". On July 29 LvBS is inviting its partners and clients to reflect on a strategic question "How to achieve a break-through?" during a one-day practical seminar lead by Pavlo Sheremeta. In September we will present you the Ukrainian translation of the world best-selling business book on strategic management by a world leading business thinker Adrian Slywotzky, "The Upside: The 7 Strategies for Turning Big Threats into Growth Breakthroughs". This book was written and published very timely, when the markets ceased to grow and companies have to work extremely hard on increasing their market share and value. As is evident already from the book's title, it is intended to help the reader to get a new insight into the very notion of strategic risk and view it as an opportunity for growth. It leads a reader to ponder on the threats of various risk situations under a new aspect of unexpected opportunities for development and positive change. On September 17 Adrian Slywotzky will conduct a master class for owners and top-managers of Ukrainian companies at the LvBS.
